Dr Warren Licht | About

An expert clinician with many years of experience in the fields of primary care, preventive medicine, and international travel medicine, Dr. Warren Licht is an internist with North Shore-LIJ Medical Group. Based out of Manhattan, Dr. Warren Licht attends patients from his office at 927 Park Avenue on the Upper East Side. In addition to this role, Dr. Warren Licht is the Director of the Medicine Service Line in Manhattan, with the North Shore-LIJ Health System. In this role, Dr. Licht maintains responsibility for overseeing the growth of the health care system’s primary care services and is responsible for the primary care community based practices, in Manhattan. Dr. Licht also serves as the Director for Medical Affairs for the Lenox Hill HealthPlex.

Prior to his current endeavors, Dr. Warren Licht spent more than seven years as the Senior Vice President for Medical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer with New York Downtown Hospital in New York City. In this capacity, he oversaw all aspects of the hospital’s clinical operations and worked hard to ensure maximum organizational efficiency. As Chief Medical Officer of New York Downtown Hospital, Dr. Licht also served as the leader of the Quality Council, Chairman of the Graduate Medical Education Committee, and clinical director of hospital’s Faculty Practices, identifying opportunities for growth and increasing standards of patient care.

Before launching his career as a medical professional and practicing physician, Dr. Warren Licht earned a bachelor of science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York. After completing his undergraduate studies, Dr. Licht pursued a master’s degree in physiology from Georgetown University, where he received his M.D. several years later. After completing his internship, Dr. Licht began his residency training in Internal Medicine at the New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

In his free time, Dr. Warren Licht enjoys cycling, mountain trekking, traveling, and experiencing a wide range of cultures and culinary tastes.
